Today rings in the much anticipated Germany World Cup 2006. Anticipated around the world except Canada. I don't know, but soccer isn't much of the nation's sport, compared to ice hockey, basketball, baseball. I chatted with Grace for a short while last night. She reminded me of the World Cup, since she is such an avid soccer fan. France, she says she supports.

Got me into the mood and I did some search on the broadcast schedule in Toronto. Some of the matches are too early in the morning and in foreign languages (Spanish, Portugese, Italian, Chinese); the English broadcast is on cable TV. So guess I won't be following it, unless I watch the commentators converse in Chinese Chinese accents and drive me nuts. Shoot me for saying this, but I'm interested in seeing an Asian team win. Which is highly unlikely, but all so surprising and amusing at the same time..

Did some laundry just now. Have to fold them all neatly now and then meet up with my brother and others for an afternoon out..
