lemak

I was looking at this Asian cookbook last night. Nora said she would cook whatever I chose from it, since she had an off day today. I thought she was joking, so I chose Laksa Lemak under the Malaysian section of the cookbook.

Golly, Nora really did whip it up together with the others. It was such a tedious preparation as seen from the recipe. I felt so bad, so I did as many dishes as I could. There wasn't enough taste to it at first, so we mixed in whatever we thought would make it work.

The final bowl was delicious. For a first-timer, we did well. With the noodles, tau-pok, prawns, fried fish paste, and all the spices and menthol leaves, it tasted close to the original. Yum! Now, I can't wait to return to KL for more of these treats..

Tomorrow's dinner should be nice. Juyenty's mother is going to make her satay speciality using our hotplate, plus Indonesian gado-gado. Looks like it's an ALL-EAT summer..

Oh, my Prof surprisingly replied my email quickly. She said she would help resolve the lecture conflict of STAB27 and BGYB11 (both had lectures on Friday 10-11am despite being recommended to be taken together in Year 2). And she said both Geography and Environmental Science are good Minors with C.Bio. So basically she didn't help me in choosing which to form my electives out of..
