the second last day of torino olympics 2006. canada is just short of one more medal to meet the 25-medals target. but apparently, this may be the final medal tally for canada, seeing how today's games are over and there won't be any matches that canada really stands a chance for medal contention.
there were some close calls today. two fourth place finishes, and one fifth place. how frustrating can it be? plus, if canada's men hockey actually played as well as in 2002, then they would be in the final match tomorrow, and a sure-medal to round up the 25 medals.
but who knows? maybe a miracle may happen tomorrow.. like how i'm hoping for a miracle to survive my coming midterms.
