canada added one bronze medal for the women curling team after they beat norway today. so it turned out to be something good afterall. tomorrow the men will be playing for gold in the final match..
though only one new medal, there were some really close medals. i hate it how one can be so close to the podium, but then get pushed down the ranking table by athletes after. like in the case in women figure skating and men aerials freestyle skiing. in the former, one canadian got 5th place in the final ranking; in the latter, two canadians were placed 5th and 6th. they nearly got a medal, but were pushed down bit by bit. irritating!
but i guess it's a good experience for canadians, many whom are at their first olympics. the next winter olympics in 2010 will be held at vancouver, canada! so hooray! i wonder if i will still be living here then.. if i am, i will be cheering on team canada! the torino olympics is drawing to an end on sunday, and canada had another 6 more medals (5 if you count the guranteed men curling medal). i am hopeful they can meet the 25-medal target.
i guess my recent blog posts have been boring with all the olympics documentaries.. it will be over soon. but by then, i wonder what interesting stuffs are there that i can blog about? aahhh, bummer..
