maybe today isn't such an unlucky day. more of an un-unlucky day of reverse luckiness. it turned out rather well at the last few hours. i went to fairview mall and duplicated a key, bought yummy KFC for dinner, and watched the Golden Globe Awards 2006!

weeeee, sandra oh won the 'best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a tv series' for Grey's Anatomy! fantabulous. she rushed up to the stage and was in disarray. for 'best performance by an actress in a tv comedy series', the four leading ladies of wisteria lane were nominated and faced only one other outside competition, so what are the odds that they lose to that one soul? well 100%, seeing that was how it turned out.. however, Desperate Housewives won for 'best tv comedy series'! also, Lost won 'best tv drama series', beating out GA for it (yay and boo?).

the biggest winner for movies have got to be brokeback mountain, the gay cowboy love story with wins in 'best drama movie' and 'best director'. it's followed by walk the line, the biopic of legendary country singer johnny cash with wins in 'best musical movie' and 'best actor', 'best actress in a musical movie' for both joaquin phoenix and reese witherspoon respectively. also worth mentioning is felicity huffman (aka lynette scavo of Desperate Housewives), who won 'best actress in a drama movie' for transamerica, about a man who goes for a sex-change operation, only to discover later he has a son and bonds with him. i want/have to watch this show!

fashion-wise, i felt eva langoria, natalie portman, evangeline lily and kate beckinsale looked stunning. ok better stop now. for more head on here to read the winner list. i'm now going to watch the episode of GA that i missed. (:
