over and in
for the second day in a row in the same week, i (or rather my brother causing me to) overslept. monday it was fine, since the lecture had an online version. but today's class was a tutorial, and in order to get the participation mark, attendance have to be taken. so i rushed out of the house at 9.30am, with the tutorial starting at 10am. reached there around halfway through, with my very messy hair, and sloppy clothes thrown onto myself.. but ultimately, i got my attendance marked and handed in the mini-assignment.
i have to get my own alarm clock. also, my brother has to put his act together. he has been oversleeping, skipping classes, doing nothing but stare at the computer (sniggling to himself very randomly/irritatingly) day in and day out. oh, and he doesn't hear a word i say when i TRY to talk to him, so i have to repeat it so many times. so much for communication..
oscar nominations are in. nothing new; the same films and people in brokeback mountain, capote, walk the line, good night and good luck, etc. i'm only pulling for felicity huffman to win for her astonishingly well-acted role in transamerica. i'm sad (though expected) claire danes wasn't nominated for best actress as mirabelle in shopgirl.
talking about transamerica and shopgirl, i watched both of the sometime back. the former was touching. felicity huffman was just phenomenal. she plays a man who is about to undergo the final sex-change operation, but discovers he/she fathered a child. so it's the road to discovery and belief. felicity huffman's voice and portrayal were so believable. but the ending was kind of abrupt. still the film has to be one of the best of 2005 despite its small-scale. in the latter, claire danes just shone in the film. she plays a saks avenue shop assistant who is battling depression, and then meets two guys of opposite nature. i found the film to be very subtle and meaningful overall.
so there you have it. oscars will be handed out in march, which by then i would be busy with my midterms and school. AS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED, i'm lagging behind in everything related to school, to the extent of being late for classes, or skipping the whole darn thing. but the worst thing is the return of new seasons of TV in spring for reality and dramas. like survivor: exile islands is starting this thursday, the amazing race at the end of this month, america's next top model and prison break in march! on top of so, so, so many other shows that i follow and worship (ahem, Grey's Anatomy).
also, i'm becoming terribly lazy to blog. i had so many random stuffs to type, but looks like they will just vaporise till i condense them back when i chill. yea, very lame. i better focus more on school..
PS and to think i'm sitting right now, right here blogging. BLAH!
