K-roak
slept really late last night as me and my brother watched Underworld, a movie starring kate beckinsale, and is all about the vampire clan versus the werewolf clan battle of dominance. there is more to the feud as learn when the story unravels. overall the movie isn't bad. maybe i should go watch the sequel, Underworld: Evolution, which is coming out next week..
woke up and watched some japanese anime. it's funny how i'm still treating my days as though there are holidays, when i should be reading text and preparing for what's to come in the next few weeks/months.
i then went out with nora, kusuma and christina to T&T supermarket (the biggest, cleanest, chinese supermarket i know of) to get some groceries. it was hard to get a parking space, so we parked at a 20-minute only parking space. rushed into T&T and hurriedly picked up whatever we wanted. it felt like those TV gameshows, where there's a time limit to find the items on a list. LOL..
anyway, initially they were discussing going for karaoke, but i didn't want to go. when i confirmed with them again this morning, they were all with the "no, we are no more going" crap. and i naively believed them. so i got tricked and there was no turning back.
we went to this karaoke lounge (with very bad service from this guy) and started our 3-hour long singing race. trust me, I CANNOT SING. i croak like a frog. but i mumbled the lines of songs. as i haven't been hearing chinese songs in a long, long time, the only ones i sang was those of stefanie sun's.. the others were singing songs from mainly jay zhou, with some random english and chinese songs. at the end, we chose oldies, like teresa teng's songs.
i think i had a good time. it was embarassing to sing, especially since i have a very low voice with no sense of rhythm. i ended up with a very croaky throat. if there is a next time, i will prepare and practise beforehand.
headed to dinner at a chinese restaurant. i haven't been eating at a chinese restaurant (those rice and dishes where everyone eat together kind of restaurant, not those self-portion type) eversince i came to canada. so it was kind of nice.. and it was cheap too!
i believe i have to go read some school material first before i watch shows later in the night.. this weekend is cold, with freezing windchills. but there will be a warmup again next week. crappy weather. tomorrow me and my brother would be going out with kaleng to our usual haunt (aka koreatown). and sunday = Grey's Anatomy (and Desperate Housewives too)!
