Grey's Anatomy is on tv right now, but surprise surprise.. guess who isn't watching it? one out of the many GA-fanatics, ME. but i have a perfectly good reason to justify my actions, starting from...
me and my brother went to bathurst to meet kaleng at 4.30pm. she came a little late, and then rushed back to her house to put her stuffs down, while me and my brother went to this japanese place for dinner. it's funny how we always go to koreatown, but have japanese food most of the time when we are out with kaleng.
kaleng wasn't feeling too well, so she missed out on the usual buffet. we gave her a treat as her birthday present, and tempted her to watch a movie with us. went to her house to get some stuffs and then rushed off to paramount. the movie was starting at 7.50pm, and we were only leaving spadina at 7.20pm.
at spadina, we had to run through this long tunnel from the east-west line side to the other side of the station where the north-south line was. it was so tiring. then after we came out of osgoode station, again we ran in the super-uber cold weather. since i was in charge of buying the tickets, i ran ahead. just to be clear, i haven't exercised in a long time, and running in unfavourable conditions (it's -10 degrees celsius today, and with the windchill making it -18), makes it even harder and tiring. i was breathless by the time i ran a few blocks, and had around two more to go. i thought i was going to collapse from a lack of oxygen. my throat and windpipe was so dry and cold, and my ears were numb. but i got the tickets anyway.
Hoodwinked had a good voiceover cast, and relatively nice storyline and animation. the story revolves around the little red riding hood fairytale, with a new twist. it has good laughs too. i love the spunky, badass grandma, and the hyper little squirrel. overall, the movie is a good one to wind up a nice/bad day. click HERE to watch the trailer. enjoy!
so we came home late. i missed Desperate Housewives, and GA had already started when i returned. thus, i decided to just watch it through other means, and enjoy the benefits of self-control and advert-free.
yeap, now i'm just chilling around in this chilly weather. it's hopefully going to warm up during the weekdays. i must get down to studying. CNY is coming in 2 weeks! even though there isn't a public holiday, it's on a weekend. yay!
