canada day
happy birthday canada!
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
yet, canada day is like any other day. like public holidays, the streets are empty, the shops are closed, and the people are dead? there is no life here. okay maybe downtown where the excitement lies..
the swimming pool down at the apartment i live in just opened just now as i came back from grocery at a chinese shop (only asian places, especially chinese ones are open on public holidays! so you can imagine our desperation for shopping during the festive season). and ahh, i feel like swimming. but the pool is pathetically small and it's being overrun by kiddos. so here's another desperation: i want to swim, i want a tan!
