tuesdays with me
i'm now reading this book- tuesdays with morrie
written by mitch albom, this book is awesome. it talks about life through death.
the book is about the author taking lectures on human sociology with professor morrie. and he promised himself not to become one to be caught in the world of materialism. but, he did.
he got a 9-to-5 job, lost touch with his childhood and teenhood friends, and didn't visit his all-time favourite professor morrie. it was only till he heard on the new that morrie was suffering from a disease which will slowly cause him to wither inside and die.
and so, visiting him brings back his university days. the time of freedom returns. and his lectures with professor morrie is on, every tuesday. they talk on the world, self-pity, death, family, life and many other topics.
i have yet to finish reading the book. i'm only at the fifth tuesday, with another nine tuesdays to go. a total of 14 tuesdays of philosophies.
the book has evoked my feelings. as in, how will life be in the future? no one can answer that now, but i am only to answer to myself for how my life will turn out. my friends, will there still be there always? will i still remember them?
i will. till my brain stops functioning. but what if my brain works, but cannot go deep into my past and uncover the hidden gems that used to shine in my life? what if, what if?
questions, that can only be answered with time.

feelings
cried when i read through the album my friends gave me. so many sweet memories. gosh will miss my friends so much. i guess secondary school life is one of the best times as the ppl and happenings really have a great impact. the friends made are for a lifetime.
to all my friends reading this blog: i miss you guys, and will always remember you all. thanks for making my life so interesting and always being there for me! you guys rock my world!
ah well, slept for a few hrs. and woke up just to stuff last-minute items into my luggage. i had to pack everything to malaysia for my canada life in like such a short period. just packed what i could. and i now realise they are so many things i have yet to pack, and some things just cannot be packed, like friends, tangible items.
i guess and hope i will be returning to singapore one last time to say my goodbyes and pack the unpacked..
and yes, will be applying for my student permit and then have a medical checkup. most of the time i guess will be spent on the computer or watching tv when i'm not doing anything..
better go get some rest now. cya!

i had my grad nite yesterday. it was hyper-fun!
gosh, how fast it has been. so fast my 'O's are over and so is my class chalet.. and now grad nite is over. so well, now i'm definitely graduated from amkss.
prepared early. put on my contacts. my second time wearing it (the first time had to administer help from cleo!), and once again, i took half an hour putting it on. but well, at least i did it myself. waited for joseph to come by. he did, late! took the cab to ryan's house but had to get off for a change in shift. all of us were dressed well for the occassion! =)
den we went all the way to grand hyatt hotel in orchard to meet mel, sheryl, jesmine and yipling. they were putting on make-up and had their hair done. karthi was there too. me and karthi went next-door to far-east and met jiayu, shinye and yixuan there. wow. everyone is prepared!
we went down to the hibiscus room as a whole gang. funny. everyone was standing nearby, taking photos, chatting, drinking, checking other ppl out. den everyone went in and got seated. the whole thing is way better den last yr, this i must say. the programme went through with games, food, laughter.
the nominations for glamour king: me, joseph, shawn tan, and another two sec 5 guys. the nominations for glamour queen: maha, cleo, huifang, chengyin and a sec 5 girl.
we were put through different tests, which were kindda embarassing and yet fun in a way. haha. i partnered with maha, joseph wif cleo. i had to do this hindi dance thing and run around the hall like those in bollywood films.
guess who won? not me, but joseph and maha! expected. they were great. me and cleo too! =x don't really bother, as long as 4/1 rules the glamour throne! muahahaha! shawn chen and megitania got best outfit..
then it was the disco. everyone boogied to the music. the dance floor was packed! but ppl started to leave and soon it was just us!
we danced and danced all night and had total fun! cool music. everyone practically went wild and let loose their inner child.
the thing ended with the calling's our lives. for me. *weep* my gd buddies dedicated the song for me. was kind of like a farewell thing. had tears in my eyes and yea, ppl came hugging me and i stoned for a while, as the memories ran through my mind.
we went back to the room and the rest gave me gifts.. an album with pics and messages from the wonderful ppl, a tshirt with this little glow-in-the-dark message, and presents. touching.
felt kind of bad. didn't get the rest stuff, and i had to rush off for my parents were nagging on the phone. so left with mel, cleo and ryan.. dropped off one by one. soon i reached home.
so the end of an awesome night. grad nite 2004.

ello. went out wif my sis early this morning to j8 to do some stuffs. won't have much chances since i'm leaving soon.
well, bought some cds.. stef sun's latest one, stefanie, and britney spears' greatest hits. den went arnd as most shops were still closed.
finally went to take some neoprints.. these are those we took. cool. never taken wif my sis alone before..

went for this pre-U admission exercise for the firs 3 mnths in spore.. does not really concern me but went to collect my testimonials.
after the whole thing, me, joseph, ryan, edwin, lester, keith, shinye, yixuan went out. went to j8 to eat before heading to plaza singapura to shop.
me and ryan just purely wanted a simple hair cut for grad nite at REDS salon. in the end ryan went to highlight his hair with copper colour i suppose. got psychoed into dyeing my whole head too. okay, the colour is brown-base and isn't that obvious in dark areas. got quite a change in my hairstyle though. it's now thin and fluffy. quite cool actually. paid arnd a hundred. not too bad.
then went arnd looking at stuffs. karthi came along. edwin, lester and keith came back from bedok where they had their haircut. nice! decided to watch the incredibles after so long. we finally did. jiayu joined us too.
the show is super-duper incredible! the first cartoon that included humour, action, love and family. just toally awesome. cool graphics and interesting story plot. and the characters are freakingly superb! mr incredible is overly-strong, elastigirl can just stretch so far, dash is too sleek and quick, violet can become invisible and produce a force-field. and then there is edna who creates the super heroes costumes. wow! the show definitely deserves 5 stars out of 5!!!
well tiring day. tmr will be staying at home to pack for canada and prepare my grad nite stuffs. hhmm shld be all. tata!

fourone mania
yeaps back from 4/1's chalet.
it was super-duper cool. okay, not dat fun in the first day, but the second day was much better.. me, joseph, ryan, jiayu, shinye, yixuan, edwin, cleo, shaoxun, keith, lester, karthi, renxin, weiqian, melissa, sheryl, jesmine, yipling, maha, karling, shiqi, michelle, ruihan, marvin came and stayed, for arnd one nite. den it was just a small grp of ppl left. the chalet was alrite-y. not big, quite small but cosy. we managed to switch arnd and find place anyway. mrs chung couldn't make it in the end so it was all us.
day one.
the start was abit madness. no one came to help buy food for the bbq. den started the whole chalet and bbq thing wif more ppl coming in. bbq was sorta unfilling. paid quite alot for little food. well den everyone did most of their stuffs in the usual cliches. but did talk arnd though, which i guess dat's the way 4/1 is.
most were like gambling. ryan and mel rented a mahjong set so most played dat or either blackjet/daidee. me, shinye, edwin, keith left and walked to pasir ris park and the beach. started to freak out when mind games were played. yixuan and lester den joined us. we did this night trail thing for a while.
by the time we returned it was sorta late. so just played arnd. and den went to downtown east nearby to get some stuffs wif the whole big gang. in the end 11 of us from the same grp went to a maze in pasir ris park for another night trail. had lots of spider webs and some freaked out i guess.
it was just playing till dunnoe when, until me, mel, jes, yipling and the 2/4 grp went to the beach (again!) for to catch the sunrise. ended gazing at twinkling stars. the wind was strong and it was so, so wonderful. felt as though we had no worries. yipling took pictures wif flash and some of us thought it was the thunder. the wind blew stronger and decided we shld return before it rained heavily. it didn't.
day two.
some left for their activities. waited for the rest to awake but fell aslp on the matress in the living rm area. had a 45 minutess nap since the start of the chalet. boosted my energy for the day.
started off wif bowling. most had left so it was just the same grp playing. quite lousy at the start but had fun. psyched shinye and melissa into staying another nite coz many had left. they agreed, after we fulfilled spares in bowling.
went for lunch and den the arcade. had streetfighter games wif mel, and lost to her! twice! arrrggh! played many others too. shinye went for the dance machine. it was funny. she looked like she was swatting flies! den wanted to play pool but chose to return to the chalet to cycle. and when we did, some wanted to rest! still, we did get to cycle.
it was fantastic. the ride from place to place by the beach with the cool breeze in ure face and hair. just nice! a small accident happened, wif joseph and jiayu's bike sort of colliding into a girl. but it wasn't them at fault.
had pizza and kfc for dinner dat nite. yummy. was like a little party. watched tv as we munched our meal. den some continued gambling poker, while a few of us watched america's next top model.
renxin had ealier went to get some alcoholic drinks. so just bottoms up and i drank a can of heineken beer. had a little tummy upset but it was fine. many had gone to bed, leaving me, joseph, ryan and jiayu behind to play poker and drink beer. i dunnoe, but we started to get all jokey and clinky. all loose-wired up there. just blamed it on the alcohol but we weren't exactly drunk. we started to gossip and chat. left the chalet to costa sands resort and crapped. talked alot about stuffs and got all weird inside.
den went nearby the pool to play daidee. we weren't planning to slp dat nite, the alcohol got us all perked up. funny eh? arnd daybreak went back and woke mel up before going to the beach. sat at this rock pier thing and saw many many stars in the sky. was spoilt by this gang of guys who were mocking and mimicking us, kind of. went further down as we felt that the sunrise would be viewed better. and indeed. magnificent. the rays of light. soft and tender at first, then it got real bright, warm and fuzzy.
went back after the sun rose quite high. on the way back, i was sub-conscious. everyone was still aslp, but we woke those on the bed. jumped in but we started laughing alot, like no one's business. it went dead silent after a while and i soon fell deep into slumber. slept for 2 hours as i really couldn't hold on much longer..
day three.
awoke to the sound of jiayu packing. den did my stuffs too while some still slept. we checked out and had breakfast. went separate ways for home. so dat was 3 days 2 nights wif mostly 4/1 @ costa sands chalet.
me, ryan, jiayu and mel took a cab to amk to drop mel off before we headed off to bishan to get lester's bday present. got it fast and went home.
crashed to my bed. slept till late. my father came home and we went to toapayoh for a buffet dinner as it is my parent's wedding anniversary.
well gonna go slp now. nitey nite. =)

regaining freedom
i haf finally changed my blog layout!
got this really cool image from 'exploding dog'. the cartoon drawings there have just so much inner details to them. from the self-consciousness to the ugliness of humanity. the one i picked isn't so much of it though.
shopping was the only thing on my list today.
no more books and mugging, well at least for the meantime. just spent my day strolling around and buying stuffs with my mum and sis.
finally bought my grad nite coat from zara. it's not those kind of formal one and can be worn for casual next time. spent $169 on it. but i haven really settled the whole attire yet.
tmr is 4/1's class chalet @ costa sands pasir ris. yay so excited! it's like the first time with this bunch of ppl. quite alot of ppl are staying over, at least for the first night. hopefully, there will be enough space. gonna be fun. guess it will be playing, chatting and many other activities. bbq will be tmr night.
ohh yea. spore idol is now down to the final 2.. taufik & sylvester! i'm so rooting for taufik. he has improved so much. i dun wan another chinese singer like sylvester. spore has more den enough. well, after christopher left, leandra was next, followed with daphne, and now olinda. was kindda sad daphne and leandra left. =(
well better go get some rest now. ciao!

the 'O's are finally over!!!!!
so shout, scream, screech, cry or wadever u wanna do ppl! it's time to parteeee!!! =)
just can't help it.. after 3 long torturing weeks of mugging.. ohh no, it's like for yrs to prepare for this. but it's now over!
okay, the papers were cool.
overall the exams are a 'phew'. not too hard or too easy. just fine. asking me how i feel now about the papers? hard to say. coz i don't even rmb how they were! lol. ok, so there were some screw-ups. but i guess why bother now.
my whole mind is just blank. wiped clean from all the info. brainwashed.
wads to come? 4/1 class chalet. grad nite. partying. shopping. so many other stuffs.
can't wait for the class chalet to come. first one since coming into my upper sec yrs in amkss. and den there's grad nite.
just went out just now after the last paper. human traffic jam. well just went to eat and den round we went scouting for our grad nite attire. guys stuff are just so hard to find! but well got a little more time, so must really hurry.
