the mid year exams have started. weird to say, there isn't the memorising but just flipping of pages without knowing what they say. there's still the long way of exams ahead, freaking planners actually go split paper 1 and 2 up in different days, meaning we have to constantly keep it in our minds.
chihoe's head is just to heavy now. saturated with infos.

practical exams were mon [bio], tues [phy], wed [chem].
bio practically sucked thoroughly. wrong food test results, wrong graph, incomplete drawings, unanswered questions. benedict's solution, reducing sugar, iodine, starch, osmosis, scalpel, peas, cucumbers, seeds.. bloopers.
physics practical was much more better. a graph drawn wrongly [supposed to be a linear but it became a curve]. did some of the practical before. electrical circuits, light bulbs, connecting wires, ammeter, voltmeter, resistor, metre rule, newton-metre.. bonkers.
chem have to be one of the best. must be the constant practise under mdm tong's superb teaching. was unsure for some answer at first but i guess i got it right in the end. calcium carbonate, ammonium, iron (II), sulphate, titration, litmus paper, methyl orange, potassium dichromate (VI).. bummers.

chinese (1) and english (2) paper was yesterday. chinese wasn't too bad i hope, compo topic did it for zhouji before. english summary was tough.. dunnoe if i have enuf points or if i wrote it within the word limit.

chinese (2) and english (1) was today. chinese was really really tough...... every single part of it was and everyone of us agreed on it.. had to learn so many words from sec 1 to sec 4 work. i am worrying for my eng compo now- afraid dat i wrote out of point. been so influenced by 'rice without rain' so when i saw the topic 'a second chance', i jumped into it and wrote about a farmer girl going to the city to work to feed her family.. all about going to find her second chance, but not touching on what her second chance was about. bleh...
having a really really bad cold.. was sneezing away the whole exam period today. tried not to sneeze loudly but really couldn't help it. tissue paper ran out so i was sniffing in so hard..

next week exams are of other subjects. alot to study. sec 3 to sec 4 work! bio alone can account for a few subjects. wake up and come out of comfort zone!

just now was the annual cross country @ mac ritchie. been a yr since we last ran it.. last yr's one was cancelled because of sars. now it is back... to haunt me!

well it was just that 'few' kilometres.. of about 3.2km i tink??? ran through the 'jungle pathway' den out next to the 'highway walkway'.

hhmm i did not feel like running at first. got excuse so thought of making use of it.. in the end still ran as afterall this will be my last yr doing such 'exciting' stuffs in amkss.. must really thnk mr ling for putting it so close to the exams. quite alot of ppl from my class didn't come..

i ran, hoping to come in top 30.. yea i noe IMPOSSIBLE. came in 50 plus, which is a big improvement from the previous yrs of 100 plus or so. well was practically running on my own at the middle to the end of the race.

as i ran the route, memories kept coming back..
memories of the first time running, not sure what to do, keeping close to friends, trying hard to catch up..
memories of the second time running, sick and tired of it, thinking of taking a shortcut with friends [which in the end we did not]..
memories that are just now memories.

after running in, rested for a long time. bought those ice popsicles that the councillors were selling for the odyssey of the mind team. went around collecting the result tags as from there we could get points for creativity house.

results came out. every level had creativity boys and girls making it to the top 30. even my sis came in 15 :x . every level, almost. sec 3s. again thnx alot to 3/2 who out of the 60 boys and girls, only 1 boy was creativity. well ain't the first time after sports day. suckers you all are so gonna suffer. hope 4c (next yr 5c) takes over. dat would be better. creativity came in 2nd last for the cross country, all thanks to *ahem*.

chihoe is sixteen years old 2day!

23 april marks another year of my existence. sixteen years have gone by, in a blink of an eye.

was like any other day. went to sch and was greeted with birthday wishes. does feel good to be 16. but just reminds me dat time is pressing as the 'O's are nearing. brushed dat aside for the day. exams are next week but today is my day off.

let me count the days dat haf past by since i last blogged.. hmm more den a week? interesting. [0.o] lol.

last thursday, easter day, was the student council tea-party. had the briefing with the new councillors before @ the ava rm. den exco brought them to the council rm for a little tour and insight of a new chapter of their life in secondary sch.
later we played games.. simple games, water games. the organising committee made like a total of a hundred plus 'water bombs' for them to throw, fling at one another. they were wild, totally! den there were given a few minutes to go dry up and change back into their uniform for the formal ceremony. stampede.
the ceremony was simple. ms tan came to present the ties and tie-pins, and they put them on for the first time. the seniors helped them and then it was eating and talking till the end of the tea-party.

good friday was last friday and my family and i went in to kl for 'sao-mu'. yea i noe, kindda late.. still. overall the trip was relaxing and comfortable. a break from the hectic school-life (not really as i was studying for my bio and chinese test on the way to and back!)... came back arnd 9pm plus on sunday. there was a huge traffic @ the causeway. came back and rushed through my hmwk.. bummer.

mon was alrite.. though the holiday period wasn't long, but it still felt as though it was a long long time. i must say i am too stressed and tired to know wad has been happening.
netball national finals took place over the week. our 'b' girls did well. lost to river valley and raffles girls by 4 and 2 respectively, but managed to stay in the top 4 national positions. den lost to chij toapayoh, the reigning champion for the past yrs. fought with raffles girls again and again they lost by 2! so frustrating. but still they are 4th in whole spore! you go girls! [sheryl, mel, zhiyen will irk at this]

yesterday was the cross-country practice, but i didn't go. stayed in sch to prepare for the international friendship day which is today. we were supposed to write msgs for our buddies, 4/1 was attached to 2A.. irritating. did nicely for my buddy but he just wrote 'chi hoe love u'. the love was represented by a heart. wads the meaning? [0.o]'''

well i got to go for dinner. goin to bishan. the hifive ppl are meeting today, not tmr. i didn't noe till today. haven been online for the past week as u noe so didn't noe about the change. couldn't make it. sorry peeps! you all haf fun.

sports day today was held @ yck stadium. we were supposed to meet at 630am in the morn but turned out that most of us were late. started morn assembly and had the first item....

the first item was the cheer item. finally it all boiled down to this- integrity went first, compassion, harmony followed, creativity went next, and respect and commitment followed.
1. integrity: the girls had their blue house shirt and jeans skirt while the others were plain pe attire. the boys simple. everyone sprayed their hair blue and had blue poster paints on their faces and hands. their cheer item was sort of simple and meant-for-kids dance performance. they stopped and restarted.
2. compassion: one of the strongest team as their members mostly from the school's cheer team. they doned pink shirts dat they bought and the girls had the school's red cheer skirt. also had their hair sprayed bright red which matched their outfit. their performance was interesting with stunts but they had to restart when they lost timing due to some mishaps.
3. harmony: they had yellow headbands and pe attire. they did simple steps and overall it was alrite. they went thru fine. even had a banner up and sprayed their hair fiery orange.
4. creativity: one of the best! [*ahem biasness]. we had green and white headbands with words like 'creativity' and 'bi sheng' written on it. we wore pe attire and went barefooted. the girls had additional white and green cloth tied round their waist making them look cool like those earth-faries type of appearance. they also had glittery green hand bands [those used for christmas deco. lol] all had glitter in our hair. our music was catchy with atomic kitten's 'see ya' and also we had terribly cool moves and formations. on top of that, we were really high and enthu, cheering for every cheer team.
5. respect: they had a large number and sprayed their hair gold and purple. only one big formation with ppl standing on top of another to form a high round pyramid. the top person waved a flag and the rest were down there doing some cheers. only respect didn't have music to go with.
6. commitment: another large grp with dance steps and various formations. they had a big entrance with drums using a stick with big plastic containers and ikea dustbins.

after dat were the races. creativity did not too bad. 4X400m under-14 girls came in first with a big lead. kewl! den there were the 4X100m under-14 girls dat came in 2nd. 4X100m over-14 girls (jesmine, zhiyen, sheryl, melissa) got 3rd. there were many many other races dat we did well. we cheered them as they ran past. as long as creativity was damn n2 man. even the novelty race we cheered for the senior citizens.

i had to leave for the final compass project. had to rush home and meet mrs anand in sch @ 12pm. ms ng came to me to call me to go home. i thought it was still 9am plus but it turned out to be 11am already! so left and told the rest to inform me of the results.
it was depressing. our cheer team didn't even get into top 3. the judges! open your eyes! we did fantabulous!!!! arrrgh. haix. mrs nair told the rest dat we got 4th. damn. first was respect, second commitment, third compassion. sad but still it was fun doing the cheer and stunts. we did well and we noe it. the judges dun. we worked hard and we noe it. the judges dun. we are the best and we noe it. the judges dun. but someday they will see that we are the hidden talents! :p

we rock ppl! creativity run on... those who worked very hard and helped in one way or another- a very very big thnk u! i also want to thank 3/2 for NOT DOING ANYTHING... thnx for 'helping' ppl. certain ppl in 1D, 2/3, 2D, 4C and 4/1 who made a difference... be creative.

today was one of the most depressing cheer practice we ever had. there were tears and anger throughout. but in the end it pulled off to a wondrous ending.

they stayed back yesterday and today. on both days i was late- mon had student council meeting, tues had compass project @ canberra sec. when i arrived on tues they were on the stage doing some stunts. jiayu at dat point was already boiling. she was stressed definitely and she couldn't keep her temper down. typically blasted at most ppl.

ee shi got hurt while playing with joseph and he couldn't control his tears. jiayu blasted and we dispersed. abit pissed off here... den my sis and her grp came late and also kena in a way. jiayu got janice and cindy off the team bcoz there were extra and janice started to cry behind the curtains [jiayu was indeed harsh in her words: "you 2.. get out"]. i tink janice also really wanted to b part of the cheer anyway they did practise hard for the dance.

well after dat we continued and things managed to get better. we went down to the foyer and practised a few times the whole ting. we were high and had fun. in the end everyone took cans home to fill it with rice, beans, or beads for cheering equipments. jialing brought back the banner to do. the rest went to eat and some went to keith's house to make the costumes, while me and my sis with some others went home.

was tired. but it was cool. we had fun practising at least.......

had oral exams today. ms goh took me for oral. i was the first person coz i was the timekeeper.. which was such a tiring job. ms goh was assuring, as in like she really made me quite comfortable coz she laughed and chatted with me. i tink i did alrite overall [except the pic description which i left out some parts because ms goh sort of like asked me about another thing]. doing the timekeeping was tiring. had to sit and wait all the way. nearly slept. [0.o]

dun ask me anyting about creativity cheer.
i know nothing.
and i dun tink anyone knows either.
was kind of frustrating just now. had a tiff with the rest (mainly the boys) coz they were like 'distracted' from the cheer. was kind of irritating to see them playing around doing stunts while the lower sec were waiting for us to teach them. blasted off and den left.
later heard that jiayu and a few others stayed @ opp sch mac to discuss the whole formation. felt kinda sorrycoz they stayed till like around 10pm there. haix. so guys. hope we do well for the cheer!

man this is tiring. the cheer thing for creativity is on the way. abit messy for now, especially since there are lower sec pplin the cheer. so hard to get a control over them. but we are having fun. no doubt. everyone is like running and jumping about trying new stunts.
we r meeting tmr again after today's and yesterday's session. most probably we will also meet next wk so it will be like taxing. i am like aching all over from the base-supporter role that i play. but still i tink it is worth the shot..
