ok geog test wasn't dat bad.. like managed to finish wad i wanted to write [one of the first time, but of course with messy handwriting]. got back my emaths test result today. sooo depressing.. i was emotionally unstable when i saw the single-digit mark on my 25-marks-worth of paper.. :x haix. the previous amaths test just passed only. double heartache for maths.. will be goin for remedials for both maths [kind of weird. last term i didn't need to go coz i did relatively well. this time i show my face at maths remedials twice after not showing at all..]

today stayed back in sch to practise the cheer for creativity house.. we using 'see ya' by atomic kittens. the chorus part jiayu came out with the dance steps and damn hard to follow. but getting the hang of it. tmr will be goin to shaoxun's house to practise the cheer and also maybe for 'dry swim'. lost touch with it already.. been some time since i played it.

past few days this wk was the election campaign for the nominees of the student council. got some really gd speakers who gave their speeches. even mdm cheong seemed impressed. got some funny ones cause of their small size they had to use the platform dat we got.. next fri is the election day. i wonder who i will vote??? [0.o]`hmm

ok there will be a new start for me next wk!!! a change in place which means a change in motivation. i have been sitting at the 5th row of the class since last yr, and FINALLY, i say FINALLY i am going back to the 3rd row! [sweet memories of sec 2 life. sec 1 was 2nd row. heex.] got cool ppl sitting close by. also clever ones too. i see a ray of light!
but definitely will miss sitting with leng-gong weechew, hei-ren karthi, ryan. lame-Os, cold-ies, jokers. hah. sam, yiwen, mel too for sitting in front, doing wadever they do to make the day better, if not. {o.o}

earlier on melissa fululu's letter dat she sent to 'say it with music' was read out. didnt't noe if it was mel's letter at first. confirmed my doubts when hints were mentioned and den a string of ppl's names were read out. mel put mine as 'hoe hoe' and it became 'hoo hoo'. so pathetic and depressing. haix.

my hol hmwk is sorta finishing. got new hmwk but i haf completed them. today's emaths test was a killer paper. easy topic [probability], hard test.

gosh. tired. aching. speechless. feeling good though. the highfive selection camp was sorta challenging but i must say it is damn freaking GREAT.. had so much fun, made so many new friends and learnt so many new things..

met at V-hub @ toapayoh on thurs.. dat was when the 'journey' started.. split into diff grps and chatted among ourselves.. my grp had woochiao, dilpreet, rebecca, belinda, chongming, and facil tiffany. one wonderful team of ppl man.. wc was like really making us go thinking when he gave us short games and stuff which really made us more relaxed and comfortable.. we went off and took a bus to NACLI (sumwhere @ buona vista).
arrived the place, and god. it was a hillside resort, a chalet, but doesn't look like a camping ground. we had lunch at the dining room which was airconditioned and looked like a restaurant, and then briefing. den went to our rooms in new grps.. the rm key was like a hotel rm key. the rm was like a hotel rm. nice beds with sheets, dressing table with mirrors and those small water boilers, side tables with side wall lights, cupboards with lights dat auto on when u opened the door, shower place with toilet-seat and standing bath area, windows with nice wooden blinds, and most importantly- aircondition for the whole rm!!!
den went to the 'hall of aspirations' or hoa for short where we played icebreakers and split into the NACLI grps. my NACLI grp majority were from the V-hub grp: wc, rebecca, janet, lcm, karen, kaihan.. we formed 'hikaru' which practically means light in jap. made our grp shiled which was a lightbulb and the filament forming the word 'light'. the motto was 'ignite the light within'..
from there we went to the bball court and played some games like the moon-ball, shoe factory, key punch.. fun totally. especially since there are alot of learning points.
lunch was like great and after dat we went on doing other games. there was this water activity. got freaking wet when we had to fill a barrel with many holes. our grp like ended u with the shortest water lvl but ended up with the most ppl wet throroughly. lol but it was fun. there was also the team challenge pit where we had to swing across the water and land on a small area and den fit every hifiver. cool. after dat went to eat dinner and den dry ourselves in the rm.
went back to hoa and had this.. erm memory lapse. dun rmb. as long did sumting b4 we were called out for the night scavenger hunt. this was one of the most mentally and physically challenging activity for the day. it was like diff ppl had diff disabilities: either mute, blind or lame (which unfortunately i was =| ). ok den. some of the others even had double disablities which was much worst. only belinda was free as she was the leader. yeap the objective was like to collect diff clues and transport everyone. yar and if like anyone broke the rule there would be like additional disabilities added. blehx. must complete within timeframe of 1hr. okay den, spent quite some time on discussing how to transport everyone. we started to move like by either piggybacking, carrying, walking.. woochiao piggybacked me [thnx alot. i damn heavy. he was mute.] so we did not complete in time or found any clues. the facils were giving them to us coz we always overshot it sumting. the facils had the stern black-face look so really stressed us. we stopped even before completing and went for debrief. everyone was tired. could see from their faces...
went back to the rm. took a bath and slept all the way to the next morn.

woke up around 645.. had to be at the bball court at 730. so we went there and played this warm-up game, body-parts. exceeded the time so yar.. had to be punished the next day. went for breakfast. afterwards went to the multi-purpose hall which was again airconditioned! in our NACLI grps we embarked on the 'tower or babel' operation. had to build like this 10m high sturcture which could sit all the team members, be carried and thrown to the ground still intact and shooked.
planned and designed our banner/flag and the structure design. had no idea wad materials we were goin to be given but soon found out. we had to like play diff games and accumulate points and then purchase the materials.
played the diff games. it was fun, like the tricky hopscotch, team skipping, mega memory blah blah.. ended up with only 20 points while we wanted 30. so had to merge with another grp, the 'chindians' (kavi, gwen, waishu, keith, haikel, ryan, lijuan, kiansiong).
had teabreak while we built the tower but it was so unstable!!! the top of the structure was like gonna fall off anytime but it didn't. one gd ting was dat it fit all 15 members. but the instructors skipped the drop test and shake test.
we went for lunch and afterwards went to hoa for final debrief. the NACLI instructors gave out souveniers- paper clips. they went off and we were allowed to go prepare for our talentime with the V-hub grp. our grp merged with another grp (xuanqi, janet, haikel, leonard, waishu, keith) and we performed american idol. damn funny. wc was paula 'gay'- the sarcastic judge; janet was simon cowell- the goodie judge; dil was randy. we had diff 'talented' singers: s.h.e (xuanqi, belinda, rebecca), ultrasounder (chongming), machine gun (keith), perfectionist [the real talent] (leonard), and of course the bimbo sisters (me and waishu).
we went for the bbq dinner [we had chicken wings, hotdog, corn, stingray] which was cool. took turns to cook and den everyone came out and talked about scandals of diff sch and stuff. den went back to hoa for the talentime. the other grps were totally great. ours was entertaining. acted so bimboitic and really made hairs stand on ends. the rehearsals were definitely better. well the facils also put up a dance which was cool esp when they did the funny acts and faces at diff times. when it ended the hoa turned into a disco rm. many ppl went for supper and disappeared. i went back to dance and there was this crazy grp there dancing the night.... UNTIL..
one by one ppl were called out to go to the cave lodge for an interview. i was called out when the dancing ended and the diff facils were there at the rm. asked qns dat put us in a spot. and when it was over, we had to go back to our rms and not come out. whoax.
i was the first person from my rm to be called. took a bath and kiansiong came back followed by leonard. chongming came over to our rm coz he did not bring his card key and no one was inside. talked about 'prospective partners for camp' and we swore not to tell anyone. but chongming sort of like *hint hint* to weiyi when he came back. me and leonard slept while chongming talked about christanity and faith. it was around 2 plus den.

we woke up late the next morn. it was so bright and i like took less then a min to change and brush my teeth. went to the bball court and did a jog. den did our punishment- 110 squats. the facils was kind enuf to let us off and we went for breakfast. went to hoa and had grp photo early coz kavi had to leave. we were told the results for talentime [every grp got sumting. ours was like most entertaining or sumting?] also had the last debrief for the camp. den each of us were given certs and had to find the diff ppl and say one pro and con about dat person. the president of the alumni, wanjing, came and she like briefed us on the hi5 projects and stuff like tapestry and an upcoming musical, which a few of us are interested in but have yet to sign up.
den like all of a sudden the camp was officially declared over. some of us still stayed around and went to get souveniers. i got a NACLI white shirt. a bunch of us den left the place and squeezed onto the bus dat brought us away from NACLI.........
we took mrt from buona vista and den some of us alighted at raffles place.. the rest were like so blur and took the train to cityhall. called them to hop on the next mrt but they took the mrt that we purposely skipped. haix. so by the time we reached toapayoh some of them had left. haix. bummer. so the remaining of us went for lunch (me, kaihan, keith, chongming, gwen). talked for a while before we really split ways.

i was on 159 heading home and took out the testimonial which my V-hub grp wrote for one another during the last breakfast of the camp. felt so.. ermx. hahax. i arrived home, unpacked, took a bath and slept all the way till around dinner.
my hmwk is not completed yet. gonna die when sch starts tmr!!!

went to watch 'the butterfly effect' today. i must say that this is one good movie. the plot is so intricate and well-written, and the cast is so real. the show looks realistic, if not. time travel and changing ones life - really mind-blowing.

the show was kind of like a psychotic horror movie with violence, sex and vulgarities. throughout the show 'fuck' was heard countless of times, so much so that i lost count. there were pyscho friends that kill each other, and friends that seem like they were possesed.

still the movie was emotional, thought-provoking. some kind of love story (but not those sappy 'i-love-you, you-love-me, we die together' kind of movie).. the lead, ashton kutcher, went through so many ordeals just to revive his love, amy smart. and in the end he gave her up, making her stay away from him in their first childhood meeting.. if not the other endings would be like totally tragic. the last ending must have been the best, perfect for both (though they didn't end up together).

woke up early this morning, went to school early like i always do. i was slpy but had to go coz got to meet the nominees for the new intake of the student council board. so went earlier to prepare but ended up doing nothing but formatting the council com.
heng came first den mich. karthi and hock followed. we went to eat and met shehnas on the way. gary and ann got remedial. geraldine.. cannot come? we chatted a while when we went back to the council rm and at 10 ppl were outside waiting. the start was abit messy especially coz we had to split them into grps which we did not do earlier on.
karthi gary and heng were outside playing some games while few were called for the interview. me and shehnas were with ms ng while hock and mich were with mrs anand. some really left a deep impression. got potential. its like the same ting always. the start they r always so enthu and 'on', but later we still get to see councillors who have lost their passion.
let them off for lunch. shehnas left. ann last min cannot come coz of remedials. the rest of us went to eat @ mac again. some nominees were there. we packed back and when we left some also left so they won't be late. haha but turned out they had to wait for 15mins while we ate in the council rm. anyway we did let them off late.
continued with a few interviews while the rest played the chair race. one part was when gary piggybacked maurice so they could clear the ppl to move over standing on chairs. whoa.
it started to drizzle so we dispersed them. they will noe the results by the end of this week. some did not make it or were either not interested. [for those who did not make it- there's always next yr if u r keen again. :D]

bio remedial was after dat. me and karthi went there like one-hr plus late. nothing much interesting except the fact that i learnt sumting new :pPpP

tmr maybe goin out. wed got to go to sch for council wits and zonk radio meeting. den maybe meeting pamy and faridah to go catch Big Fish which we missed last fri. thurs to sat will be the camp. haix holidays like no holidays.

got my results back yesterday. actually knew roughly how badly i did after 4/2 got the list of level and class positions and class msgs. nearly everyone from the whole express level ran over to look.
wed i didn't noe.. until zhiyen said she saw hers. i asked her wad i was and she said i was above her somewhere around 10+ in level.. i didn't really believe it coz i have been doing so damn badly bad in my tests. it was like a total shock provider if i really got dat gd though i dropped. it was said dat 4/1 didn't do gd this yr. 4/3 did the best [grace and pamy were saying is 4/1 did bad dat's y 4/3 went up with their standard performance] first 2 ppl in level were from 4/3, followed by 4 ppl in 4/1 and den a mixture of 4/1, 4/3, and others.. haix. our class did badly mainly because of mrs ismail and her combined humanities marking. the first geog test she failed the whole class, with the highest only 10/25. overall the class failed for combined humans. freaking combined humans.
thurs i went over to 4/2 during lunch and saw the results. i got..................
17 in level!!! gosh didn't believe it. i have been dropping ever since i came to upper sec level. sec 2 endyr dropped a whole 9 places down for sec 3 midyr, den another 2 places down sec 3 endyr, and now another 3 places down.
fri got back the result slips to see L1R5.. totally shocked. haix. i got 20 for L1R5. so unbelievable. because of combined humans.

mdm cheong gave an enlightening speech on thurs assembly. she signed our result slips and was appalled at it. she said got ppl get close to 50+. she was like scolding the sec 4s and 5s, and threatening the sec 3s to do better. well wad to do with all the teachers marking so strictly and giving so many tests. dunnoe how many brain cells have died due to exhaustion.
saw principal tan on fri and she asked me about my results. bad. told her about combined humanities. she was shocked about my L1R5. wad to do..

ok it has really been a long time since i blogged. i do come online now and then for short intervals after my sis but nv long enuf to blog. past weeks have been crazy but now *phew* it's the holidays! for a week.. but still i have alot of hmwk and again 2 days of goin to sch, 3 days of camp.. leaving 2 days to rest and finish my hmwk.. blehx.

thurs we had drama. not any normal drama meetings. this time the whole club were called down. it was election day. the present committee mainly made up of sec 4s and all of us were graduating! boohoo! so preparing to welcome the new grp of leaders.
the positions: president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, 6 committee members (2 each from sec 1s, sec 2s and sec 3s). voting only for committee members, the top 4 posts are analysed and fixed by the teachers and present committee members. well it was sorta fun seeing everyone vote. introducing everyone was hard. especially the sec 1s. they were like either shy or wadever [come on, we from drama r bold wadever we do, since we dare to dream on stage]. results will be announced when term II starts. monday the 22nd of march.
when we gave them 2 options: either go home or stay and play some games, it was gd to noe some sec 1s like shahrum and maurice wanted to stay. but we wanted to tally the votes so sent them back. the results were interesting. can't wait to announce them.

fri supposed to have literary and debate meeting. did i mention before dat i'm also in dat cca too? me, pamy, faridah planned to go catch a movie, Big Fish, after our physics remedial @ j8, before coming back for the meeting. but physics remedial ended late so cancelled the idea. went to see ms tan regarding drama's silver jubilee performance. saw mr cowan and even said 'hi' to him. he even responded. at first told them to skip the meetin once and catch the movie since its the last day of sch of term I; pamy for it, faridah had doubts.
fine, so we went to mac to eat and i spent $7 on my meal. and when i went back, kritboon told us dat the meeting cancelled. wad the hell. i spent $7 for a meal dat could pay for a movie, and we are only told dat the meeting cancelled. esp since we even saw mr cowan and he didn't tell us. wad a bummer. faridah regretted not goin for the movie.
we went to the sch's library and no one was there. took some bks and chatted, not really loudly. dat mr librarian had to come and say 'i can hear u so loudly', 'as a councillor..' blah blah. i shut him up by saying 'u dun need to tell me dat'. he saw faridah's phone and threatened to confiscate it. faridah's eyes rolled.
ok the funny part: when he was leaving, pamy whispered into faridah's ears and said he looks like william hung's bro. he heard it and was like scolding pamy. but we were laughing away. pamy said she didn't say it, saying dat there is william hung's special performance last nite. he left. and we were sniggering away. pamy was feeling bad but i definitely wasn't. sarcastic mr librarian.
we left as the library was closing soon. we borrowed some bks, bks which i didn't expect to borrow. physics and biology revision books. whoa.

they went home while i met my sis, jialing and yijun to do the creativity notice board. some of them were practising cheering upstairs at 4/1. i cleared the council notice board for updating. we left when it was getting late.

for a recap of the past 2 weeks..

the first week i dun really rmb much. only just that it was another hectic wk.
tues drama went for the 'phantom catz' performance @ kallang theatre. the sec 1s and most of sec 2s went, and 6 sec 4s went. when we went there, me and jasonw. were abit embarrased coz there were alot of lower sec and we were like the few with long pants. but inside the theatre there were more upper sec *phew*. the performance: starting it was abit blur as their voices cannot really be heard, esp when some 'cats' used the french accent. the play was like 4/1's class play, the phantom of the opera. the 'phantom catz' had alot of songs and dances for sure. the most interesting part must be those little pickpocket-cats. overall the play was interesting with elaborate props, though i did slp at some parts of the play.
sat was the high five youth award selecion interview @ the hdb hub @ toapayoh where the CSCDC office was. i tink i was sorta late but not really (they asked us to report 45 mins earlier before our actual time of interview). there were a few ppl.. most of them are part of the alumni. there was this guy from beatty sec sch and we chatted for a while before another of his friend, a girl, came. den i was left alone while they chatted. and after a while, a gal from nanyang came in. didn't really talk much coz after a while was my turn. the interview could kill. i was sitted in front of a row of interviewees of like 5 ppl. the main man was assuring. but the woman sitted next to him really fired qns in her high use of vocab which really got me fumbled. having sore throat i was talking quite lowly, she asked 'what kind of events dat u can organise make u interested?', and i said my part, but she replied 'well u dun seem interested.' [wad??? duhx.] i left and one of another interviewee told me to take care and take some cough medicine. lol. left and the new wk came.


the second week which was the last week of sch was much better.
monday was the netball north zone finals. both the 'c' and 'b' div girls were playing for it. got the whole sch in a frenzy. like last yr ppl were sent to support and the councillors did go to cheer. it was raining thruout the journey to the yishun sports complex.
'c' girls played first and the starting both teams (vs northland) were at par.. northland did get some lead at times so did we.. but it was fated that northland beat us by 3 pts. so heart-breaking. [but one ting was dat the 'c' girls of our sch managed to win the sorts sch by 1 pt, so amazing] they got their bagpipe wadsoever grp to play and they were like banging away while cheering.
BUT we got back at them by winning the 'b' girls champion (vs northland, again~) !!! we won them by a whole 14 pts!!! put them to shame. we were like madness. 2 yrs running consecutive champion of the north zone. undisputed champion!!! so kewl.
i must say this. the councillors went there to cheer and earlier on we were told to let the cheerleading ppl lead and they will tell us wad to tell the crowd to cheer. alot of classes went down plus voluntary ppl so the crowd was real big. but still, northland cheered some sort louder then us. vp cheong was there and she was real pissed off dat the councillors and cheerleading ppl were not doing anyting, making the crowd so quiet compared to the small grp of northland. she sort of like called me over and was urging me to go on without the cheerleaders. den there were teachers who only complained and did not really encourage the crowd to cheer. u noe wad the real prob was?
1) never get a grp of ppl with pom poms to lead the crowd. they do better in a small grp.
2) never have a big crowd of hundred plus ppl, esp when they aren't enthu about cheering. it will just put us to shame. i rather have something like northland. small but loud and enthu.
3) never come up with too hard cheers. many of them won't noe wad is going on if they dunnoe the cheers.
4) always prepare enuf materials for the cheering: cheer scripts, loudhailers, flags, banners, lots of empty water bottle to make some noise.
5) always prepare some loud bangers to celebrate victory: the band to prepare drum roll and so as to egg the crowd to be more enthu and cheer.
following those, i will not end up with a wors sore throat.

sad to say we didn't have a free day holiday to celebrate like last yr. but still the holidays has come........ but will fade fast. *
